Seeds of Change In Whittlesea (VIC)

Whittlesea is on Melbourne’s outskirts about 20 kms from Melbourne’s CBD. It is a large municipality covering urban growth areas and rural areas.

AEDC results showed 21.3 per cent of children vulnerable on one or more domains, however, two suburbs showed vulnerability of up to 33.9 per cent.

The local government held a community forum with 50 representatives from local groups and services, including early childcare, schools and health services. Participants analysed their results to identify ways to address areas of developmental vulnerability in their area.
